garnerbiker, do you have any constructive criticism or intelligent thoughts? Or is ghey all that your vocabulary will allow.

I wasn't going for a personal jab. Sorry man.

What is this concept going to be used for? How about room for wheel travel, a window that we can see out of, and some rear visibility. The front works. Maybe it could have something similar to the new jeep with removeable fender flares for a lot of wheel travel. The clearance looks good.

thanks...those are all very good suggestions. This concept was inspired by sandbars...and evolved into what it is. It is on an air suspension system that can be controlled manually, or automatically. When the car leaves the ground, the suspension automatically drops. It's a mid engine vehicle, so the front opens up with enough storage room for two mountain bikes with the front wheels removed. In terms of rear visability, the occupants are sitting in such a way that they should have no problems turning their head out to look...I guess side mirrors are in order though. This concept is worked out in much more detail, but I'm not sure how much of it people are actually interested in on this site. Just thought it would be cool to get reactions at first glance from people that are die hard Hummer owners!

You were concerned about the sideview mirrors? Perhaps you forgot that they are there, but retract flush with the body when you turn off the engine. Also, on the dash, there is an OFF ROAD button you can push which retracts the mirrors, so if you tip over while off road, they won't be damaged.

As I was looking at your prototype, I also noticed the fenders. Unless the wheel wells are rounded and the sharp corners are only cosmetic, they would only build up mud and be difficult to clean out. Also, the fenders are not wide enough, and would allow mud, dirt, and stones to fly all around. Make the fenders wider to protect from flying debris.
